Oh Tannenbaum

Christmas tree invite

I made these little trees as invite for a Christmas party. For how pretty they are, they're fairly easy to craft. It's simply two thick, triangle-shaped cardboards stuck together.

One triangle has a slit that goes from the top to the middle of the tree, the corresponding triangle has a slit that goes from the bottom to the middle. Then you can simply put them together. No need for glue.

The trees are about 25cm high and now sit on every desk in the office.

Adventskalender - 24 mal süss

Christmas calendar - sweet times 24

I made this little christmas calendar for my colleagues at work. No question they now love me forever ;)

I usually choose a limited colour palette from beginning on and really stick to it. It gives the whole thing a clean and neat look.

The little boxes are just the ones you often get for chinese take-away noodles. I ordered them in the smallest size available online. For the dots with the numbers I used printable stickers, that are available for most laser or inkjet printers. To glam up the pegs, I used ribbon in different red and white patterns. Just cut the ribbon in the right length and stick it on one side of the peg. Later that ribbon can also be used for decorating the string.

Now it's up to you how you want to fill the little boxes. I chose mini chocolates. The red and white Lindt balls for example would look gorgeous in them. Merry Christmas everyone.
